April was a busy month. Besides relocating to Crown Heights I had a monologue performed by the wonderful Natalie Neckyfarow as part of ESPA*Primary Stages portion of The Backroom Benefit for Jimmy's No. 43 in the East Village. Jimmy's stage was home to my first production in NYC and still holds a place in my heart. They have always been wonderful about sharing their space and only asking we drink a little in return. They were effected by the explosion on 2nd Ave. and this was a fund raiser to help mitigate some of the costs of that. You can find my piece, Everything I Needed in the Monologues page.

Also, Mike Lesser asked me to share an except as part of his Playground reading series at Fika on 10th Ave. It was wonderful to have an audience reaction to the first pages of a brand new play. Definitely inspired me to keep going on it.

Lastly, I was part of Exquisite Corpse Company's very first writer's lab. It was an honor to write a play with such a wonderful group of people: Alexis Schaetzle Blake Bishton Alexis Roblan Eric Marlin Jean Grant Simon de Carvalho. Weekly readings of the plays will be held throughout May and the very beginning of June. My play will be read June 2nd at Isa in Brooklyn. More info to come...
